CCARS has received permission from the Georgia Department of Transportation to hold this year's Field Day at the I-95 Georgia Exit 1 Welcome Center. With plenty of covered picnic tables, grills, grassy tree-lined areas, indoor plumbing, easy public access, and virtually no major power lines in the area, the club should have a great time again this year.
Plans currently call for a group set up of the trailers and various antennas starting about 0830 Saturday morning. We hope to have 3 stations (SSB, CW, and Digital) up and running by 1200 with a GOTA and talk-in 2M station (N6EMA 147.195/t118.8) station soon after. A grilled dinner will be expertly produced some time Saturday evening by W4ULB and W6NY for all in attendance. We need all the volunteers we can get Saturday AM for setup, and plenty of slots are available to get a few hours of fast paced operating in at any of the available stations (especially CW ops!!).
Bring the family, and friends!
