This year, CCARS decided to do Field Day in style. We rented a fully furnished, climate controlled, 3-bedroom cabin in , on the banks of the river. There was no shortage of heat, humidity, or sun during the antenna set up, but we had quite a bit of help and everything went up smoothly. Our sky wires included a ground mounted 42' vertical, a tri-band yagi on the tower trailer, a center-fed flat top dipole, and a 6 meter buddi-pole 2 element. The CW and Digital stations were set up in the living room, while the Phone station was positioned in one of the back bedrooms. Naturally, our activities stirred up quite a bit of interest among the other campers, so we were able to give a very nice briefing on what Field Day was and why we were there. We even had the priviledge of a visit by the Mayor of St Marys! There was no shortage of good food to eat all night, keeping the operators fueled and working. May thanks to all who helped, operated, or just dropped in to say hello and bring food! We enjoyed it so much, we will probably be back next year!
